The Laird Norton Family’s enthusiasm for philanthropy, established in the
early days of the company, is represented by the following:
Winona Foundation
The Winona Foundation contributes to the cultural, historical and educational
heritage of Winona, Minnesota, birthplace of the Laird Norton Company. Since
1982, the foundation has been fostering new programs and contributing to
existing projects in the Winona area.
Laird Norton Family Foundation
The sale of Lanoga enabled LNC to launch this new foundation, which merged with the Laird Norton Foundation in 2007. Today, the Laird Norton Family Foundation focuses on Arts in Education, Climate Change, Global Fundamentals, and Watershed Stewardship, and engages more than 50 Laird Norton Family members.

Formed by members of the Laird Norton family’s
sixth generation, the Sixth Sense Committee is
focused on supporting environmental sustainability,
