Broad Philanthropic Goals

The Laird Norton family’s enthusiasm for philanthropy, established in the early days of the company, is represented by the following:

Laird Norton Family Foundation

The sale of Lanoga enabled LNC to launch this new foundation which merged with the Laird Norton Foundation in 2007. Today, the Laird Norton Family Foundation is unique in a number of ways and reflects our value to support family involvement. The five funding areas are Arts in Education, Climate Change, Watershed Stewardship, Global Fundamentals, and Sixth Sense (our youth-focused, youth-directed philanthropy). Fund advisory committees comprised of family members direct the funding for each category. Over 60 family members are currently engaged in our family philanthropy. www.lairdnorton.org

Winona Foundation

The Winona Foundation contributes to the cultural, historical, and educational heritage of Winona, Minnesota, birthplace of Laird Norton Company. Since 1982, the foundation has been fostering new programs and contributing to existing projects in the Winona area.

Member Suggested Charitable Contribution Program

Offered each year, the Member Suggested Charitable Contribution Program (MSCCP) enables family members to direct their pro-rata share of the company’s charitable contributions to the nonprofit organization(s) of their choice.
