Pacific Northwest. LNC’s focus on
the financial services industry led to the
acquisition and subsequent growth of Wentworth,
Hauser & Violich, an investment management
firm with over $8.2 billion in assets under
management.

Lanoga, formed in 1978, started as a collection of LNC’s retail lumber operations. Under LNC’s guidance Lanoga grew to become the nation’s third-largest professional building materials dealer. Lanoga’s sale in early 2006 to Fidelity Capital led to the creation of Pro-Build Holdings, Inc., the country’s largest building materials supplier to production homebuilders.
