Laird Norton Company Expands Role of CFO

The Laird Norton Company (LNC), a seventh generation family-owned business based in Seattle, today announced the appointment of Nick Pavelich, LNC’s Chief Financial Officer, to the expanded role of CFO and Senior Vice President, Real Estate Investments. Pavelich will continue to report to Jeff Vincent, President and Chief Executive Officer.

“I am pleased to announce the expansion of Nick Pavelich’s role within the Laird Norton Company to include the oversight of current and future investments in our private REIT, TimberRiver Properties,” Vincent said. “This change in responsibilities is in recognition of Pavelich’s strong performance for us both as our CFO and as the primary person overseeing our current real estate portfolio for the last four years.”

Pavelich was appointed CFO of Laird Norton in 2006. He serves on the board of directors of Laird Norton Wealth Management. Prior to joining LNC, Pavelich was a partner in the accounting firm Clark Nuber, Bellevue; and a director and senior tax manager at KPMG, Seattle.

“The Laird Norton Company is committed to expanding its real estate business through its partnership with Unico Properties and other initiatives,” Pavelich said. “Our investments in real estate are and will continue to be an important component of the Laird Norton family enterprise for generations to come.”

Founded in 1855, Laird Norton Company family members were instrumental in the founding of Weyerhaeuser Company, The Potlatch Corporation, and Boise Cascade Corporation.
