Heartland, LLC, a majority-owned investment of Laird Norton Company, played a key role in advising REI Co-op on its $230M sale-leaseback transaction with Madison Capital. As REI’s real estate consultant and lead broker, Heartland helped structure a deal that ensures operational continuity while optimizing REI’s real estate strategy. A great example of strategic advisory in action!

We're proud to share that our US Bank Building in Idaho was recently the stage for an extraordinary feat. James Wigginton, a 75-year-old former Marine, scaled the 19-story landmark as part of his mission to climb the tallest building in every state. His courageous effort supports two great causes: Folds of Honor and the Punya Thyroid Cancer Fund.

As one of the tallest buildings in the state and a prominent, well-loved downtown Boise landmark , our US Bank Building was happy to host Wigginton's climb.

On Tuesday, we had the privilege of partnering with EarthCorps to plant over 150 native species at Sacajawea Playground in Seattle, located near a local elementary school. EarthCorps does incredible work through community partnerships to advance environmental justice and restore local ecosystems.

By planting native species, we're helping to create sustainable, resilient green spaces that benefit our community and local wildlife. Together, we’re making small but impactful steps towards a healthier, greener Seattle! 🌱
