Jeffery S. Vincent
Chief Executive Officer and President

Jeff Vincent has been leading the Laird Norton Company since January of 2001, overseeing current investments and managing the company’s day-to-day activities. With more than 30 years of business experience, he has restructured business operations, bought and sold companies, and directed a variety of strategic initiatives in such areas as product development and international expansion. Over the past 20 years, Jeff has worked exclusively with privately held family companies.
He is a director on the boards of American Education Group, Johnny’s Fine Foods, Northern Lights Capital Partners, TimberRiver Properties, Winona Capital Management, WHV Investment Management, and Laird Norton Company. He also serves on the Washington Roundtable and is Chairman of the Washington State Board of Education.
Jeff received a BSBA from Drake University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Marie Mentor
Family President

A fifth-generation descendant of one of LNC’s founding partners, Marie Mentor began serving as LNC’s Family President in July 2010. She is a director on the board of Laird Norton Company, chairman of the Family Council Committee, and serves ex-officio on several other committees. Marie is responsible for overseeing the annual Family Summit and facilitating communication with over 400 Laird Norton family members. She is also focused on developing family programs with an emphasis on education and responsible company stewardship.
Marie received an MPA in Public Affairs from the University of Washington, Dan Evans School of Public Affairs, as well as a BA from Linfield College.
Nick Pavelich
Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President,
Real Estate

Nick Pavelich has served as Laird Norton’s CFO since 2006. In 2011, his role expanded to include Senior Vice President, Real Estate. In this capacity, he oversees current and future investments of TimberRiver Properties, LNC’s private Real Estate Investment Trust. Nick is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Washington State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a former partner at Clark Nuber, and a former director of Arthur Andersen / KPMG. He is currently a director on the board of Draper & Kramer.
Nick received a BA from Washington State University and a Master of Taxation from Golden Gate University.
Deborah S. Brown
Chairman of the Board

Debbie Brown has been a director since June 2011 and in June 2012 she became Chairman of the LNC Board. She had been a director of the company previously, from 1996 to 2007, during which time she served on the Investment and Nominating Committees and also chaired the Compensation Committee. Debbie also served on the 2010-2012 Long Range Planning Committee. She is currently Vice President of Regional Development for Bright Horizons Family Solutions, Inc., the premier provider of employer-sponsored child care, early education, and work/life solutions. Prior to joining Bright Horizons, Debbie founded and served as CEO/ President of Pacific Preschools, Inc., DBA The Learning Garden, a network of private, high quality, work-site child care programs. From 1990-2007, she also served as a founding director and board member of Child Care Resources, a non-profit agency that works with families and communities to ensure that all children have access to high quality child care and early education. Additionally, Debbie served on the Winona Capital Management Board and was a founding director and board member of Total Living Choices, a premier health-care technology company that assists adult patients, families and health-care organizations in finding the best transitional care solutions.
